Dunblane in Bloom 2006           Flower Barrels

This is a selection of slides showing the barrels on the bridge at the Stirling Arms and the Dual Carraigeway.

We purposely gave a low profile to the barrels on the bridge at the Stirling Arms in an attempt not to attract unwanted attention. Previously, conifers which gave height to the display, were continually pulled out.

The barrels on the dual carriageway have finally come into full bloom....the Dahlias were late this year. As well as Dahlias and trailing petunias, the barrels have also been planted with begonias, bizzie lizzies, helichrysum, nepeta, verbena and lobelia
