Dunblane in Bloom 2006 Cala Roundabout
With the financial help from Cala Evans homes last year, we created this display of heaths heathers and shrubs. The plants survived the winter although the rabbits were a problem with one bed of miniature azaleas being eaten down to the ground. Surprisingly they have recovered and are growing well but we may have to apply chicken wire to protect them this winter
One bed of Rohdodendrons looked decidedly sick but with advice and help from Stirling University they are on the mend.
The slides show a mulch being applied to minimise weed growth
