Establishment of Three Working Groups

There are lots of things in Dunblane that need sorting out - the Community Plan has identified many of them. Click here for details

One of the main roles of the Dunblane Development Trust (DDT) is to implement the Community Plan. To do that we need to work with other groups and individuals in Dunblane.

The Trust is about to set up 3 Working Groups which will address issues relating to the Environment, Community Facilities and Development.

Each group will involve DDT Board Members, representatives of other groups and interested individuals and will have delegated decision-making powers.

The Environment Working Group will focus on the environment & sustainability,green-spaces - such as Holmehill and the Laighhills - footpaths and cycle paths , public transport - including a round town bus service - and developing an anti litter strategy. It is hoped that members of the Dunblane in Bloom Group & the Mid-week Group will assist us with their experience.

The Communities Working Group will look into issues like the development & coordination of community facilities, meeting places, activities and organisations, access to local schools, public swimming facilities, the health centre , outdoor play spaces and the development of a young people’s forum.

The Development Working Group plans to address the built environment, public infrastructure, local economy & tourism, including planning, affordable housing, the revitalisation of the town centre and its shops, car parking, roads and pavements, riverside banks, walls and paths, local production/ local spending and developing a sense of arrival at dunblane.

The Dunblane web has been set up to provide information and support for locals and visitors alike.

We are always looking to update and add any relevant information that the Dunblane community would benefit from being included in this site.
