Starting on February 14th 2011 in St Mary's Church Hall in Dunblane Website: http://www.victoriasballroom.co.uk Email: info@victoriasballroom.co.uk Tel: 07986 594 311 The Waltz is a beautiful dance rich with emotion. It is an inspiring expression of love and harmony. The lady and gentlemen glide across the floor as one. They rise and fall together. They twist and turn together. They are inseparable, bound in love. They are swans, existing for one and other. The dance is love, but it is also sadness. There is a silent almost unspoken sense of loss. As quickly as the flower blossoms it begins to perish. This dance demands that you love hard and fully. It provides no cancelation to those whom do not. She is your woman, and he is your man. Time is precious and love is your light. The Waltz is deliberate, structured and beautiful. It is a dance for those couples whom want to express love in motion. It asks of the gentlemen as much as it does of the lady. The gentlemen must lead with strength and assurance. The lady must trust and have faith in her partner. A perfect demonstration of this partnership can be seen in the dancing of Luca and Loraine Baricchi. Their timing and motion is hypnotic and one of the most captivating things I have ever seen. Look at their spectacular Waltz on website such as YouTube and you will surely see what I am describing. This dance is not at the reserve of a few lucky professionals. It can be learned by you. Written by Victoria Clifford We perform songs, tunes, recitations and stories in a friendly and informal setting (no stage or paid guests), and generally have a laugh over a drink. Everyone is very welcome whether a performer or a 'listener'. Tea, coffee and a small selection of soft drinks available, but you are also welcome to BYOB. We sometimes put on special events, too.
